You have in mind a banner, award, graphic, web page or web site that you would like to see come to life! Or you wouldn't be here. First of all you might want to take a gander at my sample page. There are banners, awards and web sites that I have made in the past. My talents vary, I'm no Picasso, but I do my best. Awards, graphics and banners are pretty simple. You know what you want, and when applicable what you want written on them. You may have a special graphics, images or pictures you would like to use. That's fine, just tell me what you want and send the graphics, images or pictures in an attachment via email. If you don't have any special graphics, images or pictures in mind, I will make something to go along with what you need. Please include your web site URL (web site address) if you want me to make a banner. We all have different taste buds. So as I work on the graphics, awards or banners, I will send you a URL (web site address) to take a look at them and see what you like or don't like about them and I will change it to your taste buds! :o) Please remember, when I do this the graphics, awards and banners will be set so you can not save or download them. Now web pages, page set and web sites are a little different. I would still be showing you them via a URL (web address) and working with you. With these you have to tell me what kind of a site/pages it will be for, what you want on each page ect. This is something that has to have further discussion. You may have some of the materials and want to use them or you might not have any and I will have to make them. A little advise here....... Over the years I've noticed that people have web pages and sites that take until the cows come home to load up. This is due to the graphics not being compressed, too many layers, too many gadgets, eight foot long pages and so on. I don't care who's site it is, if it takes too long to load, I'm out of there and on to another site. Hence, you have a slow loader, you lose visitors. I try to keep my pages all uniform, by that I mean the same background for each page. That way it loads quickly once you're there and you can browse on through right quick. This also saves on the space on your server. (Where your site is at.) Eight mile long pages don't cut it, unless they have some kind of documentation on it that someone would like to read. But if you have a page where the visitor has to scroll on down until dooms day to see the bottom, forget it. They will never see what's at the bottom of the page and there just might be something important there that you wouldn't want them to miss. Like a 'vote for this site' type of thing, or your email ect. I don't know how you feel about frames, you know those sites that are like using your search window and only the window changes and the side/menu stays the same? I don't particularly like those either because you have to use the bottom slider to read the page. Short, simple and to the point is the way to go. But if you want all the bells and whistles, that's up to you, it's your site. I wish I had my first couple of sites, they would have been perfect to show you for examples!!! But as time went on, I learned! |
